Job Description:
Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical damage of vehicles. Your responsibilities will include:
- Analyzing, diagnosing, and evaluating damaged vehicles to determine repair or service needs and potential replacement of parts.
- Maintaining shop vehicles and assisting other technicians with difficult or abnormal repairs or services.
- Accurately estimating costs for repairs, maintenance, and service required.
- Performing advanced, basic, and minor repairs as required - brake and hydraulic, exhaust, engine and transmission, fuel ignition, electrical, suspension and alignment, restraints and airbags, air conditioning and computer systems.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- A High School diploma/GED and auto mechanic vocational graduate.
- At least 5 years of experience in automobile or automotive mechanical/electrical diagnosis, problem-solving, and repair in a related industry.
- ASE certification is required.
- Experience diagnosing problems - mechanical, repairing, rebuilding, and overhauling mechanical, electrical, electronic, and/or hydraulic systems in a wide variety of automotive vehicles.
- Knowledge using manufacturers' service and repair manuals.
- Highly organized, able to prioritize multiple concurrent assignments.
