Job Title: Vice President of Finance

Job Summary: The VP of Finance is responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the company, ensuring accurate record-keeping, financial planning, and strategic financial management. This role combines high-level financial leadership with hands-on bookkeeping to maintain financial integrity and drive the profitability, operational efficiency, and long-term financial sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Leadership:
• Develop and implement financial strategies to support business growth and profitability.
• Provide financial forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management to ensure financial stability.
• Advise the Leadership Team on financial risks, opportunities, and long-term planning.
• Oversee financial reporting, ensuring compliance with regulatory and tax requirements.
• Manage relationships with external auditors, tax professionals, and financial institutions.
Financial Operations & Bookkeeping:
• Maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger management and account reconciliations.
• Process payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
• Prepare and review financial statements, including profit and loss reports, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Monitor financial transactions and ensure proper documentation and classification.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to prevent errors and fraud.
Compliance & Risk Management:
• Ensure adherence to financial regulations, tax laws, and company policies.
• Oversee tax preparation, filings, and compliance with government reporting requirements.
• Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies to safeguard company assets.
Process Improvement & Technology:
• Streamline financial processes and implement best practices for efficiency.
• Oversee the use of accounting software and financial systems to improve reporting and automation.
• Recommend and implement technology solutions to enhance financial management.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field (CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred). Minimum 5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Proven experience in financial leadership roles, including bookkeeping responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, tax regulations, and financial compliance.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Fyle, Bill.com, TigerPaw, Xero, NetSuite) and financial modeling.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• High attention to detail with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
