Job Overview: As the Puget Sound Region Transportation Market Leader, you will play a pivotal role in driving the company's growth and expansion within the transportation sector. You will collaborate with executive teams, client leaders, and industry experts to craft and execute market strategies that ensure regional visibility and drive new business. In this role, you will be both a strategic visionary and an operational leader, overseeing complex projects, fostering client relationships, and mentoring a team of talented professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Market Leadership:
Collaborate with Client Team Leaders to develop and implement comprehensive market strategies aligned with DEA's overall business goals.
Analyze market trends, technological advancements, and client needs to identify new opportunities and maintain a competitive edge in the Puget Sound Region.
Client and Project Leadership:
Serve as the principal-in-charge and project manager for high-impact transportation projects, ensuring successful delivery and client satisfaction.
Support Client Team Leaders by providing senior-level guidance, building client relationships, and ensuring that projects meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
Business Development and Growth:
Lead efforts in business development to expand DEA's footprint in the region, identifying and pursuing new business opportunities with a focus on transportation infrastructure.
Manage and monitor business development spending, ensuring effective resource allocation and return on investment.
Team Development and Mentorship:
Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment by mentoring Client Team Leaders and other professionals within the market.
Implement retention strategies that support staff longevity and professional growth.
Project Management:
Serve as principal-in-charge or project manager on key transportation projects, ensuring alignment with client expectations, scope, schedule, and budget while upholding DEA's Quality Management standards.
Coach and support project managers by reviewing engineering documents for compliance, aligning office resources with project commitments, and ensuring consistent use of DEA's tools, processes, and policies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Urban and Regional Planning.
Licensed Professional Engineer in Washington or AICP certified.
10 years of experience in transportation project leadership, with a strong focus on roadway, highway, transit, or bridge projects.
Proven track record of transportation project wins in the Puget Sound region.
Extensive experience in leadership roles working with WSDOT, Sound Transit, and other local agencies, with a proven ability to manage relationships at the highest levels
