Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage civil heavy highway construction projects from start to finish
  • Supervise field crews and subcontractors, ensuring work is completed according to project plans and specifications
  • Maintain a strong commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency on all job sites
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure smooth project execution
  • Monitor project schedules and budgets, making real-time adjustments as necessary
  • Conduct daily site inspections and ensure compliance with union regulations and prevailing wage requirements
  • Train, mentor, and develop field personnel to enhance team performance
  • Ensure proper equipment utilization and maintenance throughout project duration
  • Prepare daily reports, progress updates, and address any project challenges

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Superintendent, Foreman, or similar leadership role in civil heavy highway construction
  • Strong understanding of commercial, industrial, and government-funded projects
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, project specifications, and technical drawings
  • Union experience as a super or operator is preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple job sites
  • Proficiency in project scheduling, cost control, and safety management
  • A valid driver's license required
  • Ability to do layout on a project and use of GPS
  • OSHA-40 is preferred.
