Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage civil heavy highway construction projects from start to finish
- Supervise field crews and subcontractors, ensuring work is completed according to project plans and specifications
- Maintain a strong commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency on all job sites
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure smooth project execution
- Monitor project schedules and budgets, making real-time adjustments as necessary
- Conduct daily site inspections and ensure compliance with union regulations and prevailing wage requirements
- Train, mentor, and develop field personnel to enhance team performance
- Ensure proper equipment utilization and maintenance throughout project duration
- Prepare daily reports, progress updates, and address any project challenges
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Superintendent, Foreman, or similar leadership role in civil heavy highway construction
- Strong understanding of commercial, industrial, and government-funded projects
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, project specifications, and technical drawings
- Union experience as a super or operator is preferred, but not required.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple job sites
- Proficiency in project scheduling, cost control, and safety management
- A valid driver's license required
- Ability to do layout on a project and use of GPS
- OSHA-40 is preferred.
