Our Chicago Office is looking for a Structural Designer [BIM Technician] with previous building design experience who is ready to jump in & support the team.
Our ideal candidate holds an associate's degree, has 5 years of REVIT Experience, a minimum of 5 years in structural BUILDING design.

Our Structural Designer [BIM Technician] performs detailed drafting and support activities related to the preparation of plans, specifications, reports, and other documents for engineering projects within prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing the following duties. Typical advancement is based on the quality performance of essential duties and responsibilities. Discretionary advancement is based on employee’s actions and accomplishments. This position may support the indirect supervision, mentoring, and training of Technicians and Designers.
Essential Duties:
- Prepare Revit drawings and project documents in accordance with company standards
- Interpret drawing mark-ups and update Revit files based on plan review comments
- Coordinate efforts with Project Manager and overall design team
- Perform specific work assignments in accordance with established schedules and within prescribed budgets.
- Read and interpret plans, sketches, and specifications.
- May support the training of Staff Technicians and Designers as necessary. Including technical design, Revit skills, overall standards, processes, and DMA procedures.
- May Provide QA/QC support for Technicians and Designers as it relates to Revit standards and integration and client specific requirements
- Follow and abide by the DMA employee and safety manuals
- Other duties as assigned
Salary : $75,000 - $100,000
