Position OverviewWe’re seeking a skilled Site Foreman with expertise in grading and utility installation to oversee daily field operations in our Civil Construction Division. As the boots-on-the-ground leader, you’ll coordinate labor, subcontractors, materials, and equipment to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities- Lead On-Site Operations: Direct crews and subcontractors, resolve issues in real-time, and maintain a safe, productive work environment.
- Erosion & Sediment Control: Ensure compliance with approved plans, conducting regular inspections to prevent violations.
- Schedule Management: Collaborate with leadership to meet project milestones and proactively address potential delays.
- Subcontractor Oversight: Enforce DNB standards, ensuring subcontractors deliver quality work on time.
- Safety Enforcement: Conduct daily inspections, lead Toolbox Talks, and ensure OSHA and DNB safety compliance.
- Communication: Act as the key link between field and office, coordinating with vendors, inspectors, and clients.
- Material & Equipment Management: Verify deliveries, maintain equipment, and ensure proper storage.
- Inspection Coordination: Prepare sites for inspections and address punch list items promptly.
- Professional Representation: Uphold DNB’s reputation with integrity and professionalism on every site.
- Technical Expertise: Proficient in reading plans, calculating grades, operating heavy machinery, and flagging/traffic control.
- Leadership: Proven ability to motivate teams, manage subcontractors, and maintain site morale.
- Communication: Clear and effective with staff, vendors, and clients.
- Safety Focus: Deep knowledge of OSHA regulations and a commitment to a safe work environment.
- Time Management: Strong organizational skills to meet deadlines and manage resources efficiently.
- Work Ethic: Dependable, punctual, and willing to work extended hours or weekends as needed.
- Valid Driver’s License
- OSHA 10-Hour (minimum)
- VDOT Flagging Certification
- CPR/First Aid Certification (or obtained within 6 months)
- Trench Safety Certification (or obtained within 6 months)
- Minimum 4 hours of annual safety training
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions, including heights, trenches, and confined spaces.
- Flexible schedule with availability for extended hours or weekends to meet project deadlines.
- Travel to job sites within a 60-mile radius of Williamsburg, VA.
- Commitment to a drug-free workplace and ability to pass a drug screening.
- Punctuality and reliability are non-negotiable.
