Parts Advisor

Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Parts Advisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in retail sales and inventory management, particularly within the automotive industry. As a Parts Advisor, you will play a crucial role in assisting customers with their parts needs, ensuring they receive the correct components for their vehicles while providing exceptional service.

Duties

• Assist customers in identifying and locating automotive parts and accessories.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and manage stock levels to ensure availability of parts.
• Utilize Excel and CMMS software for tracking inventory and processing orders efficiently.
• Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
• Process transactions using cash registers, ensuring accuracy in sales and returns.
• Collaborate with service technicians to ensure timely delivery of parts for repairs.
• Maintain a clean and organized parts department, adhering to safety standards.
• Provide support in retail math calculations for pricing and discounts as necessary.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales or automotive repair is preferred.
• Strong skills in inventory management and familiarity with dealership operations.
• Proficient in using Excel for data management and reporting.
• Experience with CMMS software is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with customers and team members.
• Ability to maintain attention to detail while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
