Job Description

Overview
The Inventory Planner will support the AVP of Financial Merchandise Planning & Buying across all channels. This role will involve monitoring overall company purchases against the plan and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency. The Inventory Planner will analyze historical data, forecast demand, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and optimize the supply chain to meet business objectives. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a keen attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of inventory management processes.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing comprehensive inventory and purchase plans that align with and support the company's revenue objectives.
• Collaborate with demand planning to forecast and strategize inventory builds based on business needs.
• Act as the primary point of contact between the planning department, procurement team, and other internal departments (e.g., logistics, finance, buying) to ensure alignment on inventory goals and priorities.
• Continuously improve inventory planning processes, leveraging technology and best practices to streamline operations, reduce costs, and enhance overall efficiency.
• Develop and implement strategies to reduce excess inventory, minimize stockouts, and improve inventory turnover. Work on optimizing storage and warehouse space to maximize efficiency.
• Analyze inventory performance metrics, including turnover rates, stock levels, and order fill rates. Provide management with detailed reports and actionable insights on inventory status and supply chain performance.
• Manage Ad hoc analysis, reporting & projects.

Qualifications

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.

Experience:

• 3-5 years minimum experience in inventory management, supply chain planning, or a related field required.
• Strong understanding of inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems).
• Experience in demand forecasting and data analysis.

Skills:

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (advanced skills in data manipulation, pivot tables, and reporting).
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with automated inventory management systems and forecasting tools.
• Familiarity with lean inventory management principles and best practices.

Estimated Base Salary: $75,000-$95,000
