Title
Security Officer – Lyndhurst Distribution Center
Reports to
Director of Loss Prevention, Lyndhurst
Overview
The Security Officer will enforce the company’s Security Policy and Procedures at our Distribution Center in Lyndhurst, NJ.
Responsibilities
- Enforce the company’s Security Policy and Procedures
- Protect the employees and the physical property of company by foot patrolling around the building and investigating and reporting suspicious activity
- Monitoring of alarm and camera systems
- First responder to security incidents and supplies guidance/support during emergencies and situational awareness.
- Secure product, lock down building, and secure assets
- Assist with building function and recovery efforts by scanning the garbage and wanding employees leaving the warehouse
- Maintain detailed log of Visitors
- Drive company vehicle in the tristate area
- Ensure appropriate merchandise records are maintained and provide documentation as needed
- Conduct inventory of the product after company sales
- Executes messenger deliveries in a timely and safe manner as directed by the Manager of Security
- Provide Command Center support by overseeing CCTV, fielding inquires (email/calls)
- Complete Incident Reports
- Must Possess full carry permit within NYC and NJ
- Must possess HR218 Certification
- Must hold valid driving license
- Must have driving license in good standing, free from any major violations
- Diligent attention to safety/security
- Diligent attention to detail
- Flexibility – must be able to work full-time, including weekends and be available based on business needs
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Former Police/Military preferred but not required
