Under general direction of the Team Success Manager, perform a wide variety of duties to develop and manage a geographic sales territory by calling on existing accounts and adding new accounts based on need within that local market. This position services customers in NC, SC, VA, WV, DC, and parts of GA.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
- Execute the sales plan and objectives set forth by the company to maximize proper allocation of sales efforts.
- Present new product lines, promotions, and programs to retailers and wholesalers and review line items not carried in stores.
- Advise and help with Company merchandising objectives to obtain optimal product exposure and build on new and existing in-store line items. Display point of sale material when available to insure proper brand identification.
- Review and follow-up with retailer concerns and establish a positive business working relationship. Maintain ongoing attention to sales data and detail.
- Develop strong customer relationships using fact-based selling techniques and other techniques prescribed by the company. Understand and deliver the concept of managing success using a consumer forward approach.
- Prepare and implement Key Account Plans for all Appointed Merchants within your territory while working closely with Team Success Manager on identified accounts.
- Work closely with the various Marketing Managers to insure all programs/ promotions are running smoothly.
- Present formal Business Reviews with all accounts and develop ways to increase business and adjust planning as necessary.
- Maintain proper coverage and frequency of sales visits to all accounts in the prescribed area. Seek out new business opportunities in sales areas. Must be flexible to help in other areas when needed.
- Continually review sales quotas/actual sales with accounts and inform management on ideas and concepts on how to improve overall sales.
- Ensure proper allocation of time management to achieve maximum sales effort that includes, but is not limited to: proper usage of detail days, PTO days, phone usage, travel time, retail time, etc.
- Monitor proper usage of company monies and expense accounts and proper usage of company property such as, computers, I-Pads, salespersons samples, and sales materials.
- Maximize the usage of customer CRM/Mobile Sales Solution “Access”. Consistent maintenance of data customer data integrity.
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university desirable; 5-6 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
