General Auto Mechanic

Location: Watertown, NY, 13601

Job Summary:

Davidson Auto Group's General Auto Mechanic will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles, as well as diagnosing and troubleshooting complex issues. The mechanic will work in a fast-paced environment and must be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay Range: $20 - $29/hr., based on experience

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance on vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex issues with vehicles
• Performs New York State Vehicle Inspections
• Install New Vehicle Accessories
• Repair and replace parts as needed
• Perform used vehicle inspections and document findings
• Keep work area clean and organized
• Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines
• Other duties may be assigned as needed
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent, required
• NYS Inspector's License, required
• Completion of a vocational or technical school program in automotive repair or equivalent experience, preferred
• ASE certification, preferred
• Experience with diagnostic tools and equipment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must have excellent communication skills
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Must have own tools
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  
  
  

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to work in a noisy environment
