Job Description
Join our Guest House Team at Davidson College! The Carnegie Guest House is a bed and breakfast located on Davidson's campus. Guests are typically alumni of the college, parents of current students, or prospective students and their families. We are seeking a positive individual to perform general housekeeping, interact with our overnight guests, help set up breakfast each morning, and support the supervising staff with day to day operations.
The position is part-time for 20 hours per week (4 hours per day for 5 days a week). Successful candidates will work every other weekend. For the weekends, there's a differential pay. Basic computer skills are a plus. This position will be called upon to work independently at times. The Guest House team is a small, close-knit group and Davidson College is a terrific place to work!
Required Qualifications :
HS Diploma and minimum one year experience
Willingness to take directions but able to assess needs and take action when necessary
Ability to work well as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications :
Basic computer skills
Ability to work unsupervised if necessary
Knowledge of the campus and surrounding area a plus
