Job Description
The Psychology Department at Davidson College invites applications for two 2-year Visiting Assistant Professor in Psychology positions beginning July 1, 2025 . Area of focus is Open. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong interest and the capacity for excellence in teaching in a liberal arts context as well as the potential to support the department's ongoing commitment to addressing critical issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion in our curriculum. The teaching load for each position is 5 courses over 2 semesters. The successful candidate will teach core courses within the department (e.g., General Psychology, Research Design & Statistics 1, Research Design & Statistics 2, or Capstone seminar) as well as courses in their area of expertise, including a survey course and / or an advanced seminar. We provide visiting faculty with mentoring in teaching, financial support for research, and resources for professional development (e.g., conference travel funding).
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Psychology or a related field by July 2025.
