And while we’re all about professionalism, we’re also all about creating a relaxed, friendly atmosphere that makes both our patients and team feel right at home.
Who We’re Looking For: We’re on the hunt for a skilled and motivated Dental Assistant with at least 6 months of experience in general dentistry to join our fun, supportive team. If you have a passion for dentistry, love making people feel comfortable, and can keep up in a fast-paced environment, this is the perfect opportunity for you! Experience in 4-handed dentistry, charting, and the ability to multitask with efficiency are essential.
Required Qualifications:
- At least 6 months of experience in general dentistry.
- CPR certification (must be current).
- X-ray certification (must be current).
- Must have graduated from an accredited dental assistant program.
What You’ll Be Doing: As a Dental Assistant, you’ll be an integral part of our day-to-day operations, ensuring that patients receive the best care possible. Here’s a snapshot of your duties:
- Assist the dentist during procedures (yes, that means you get to work alongside a seriously cool guy)
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments (because cleanliness is next to smile-liness)
- Take digital x-rays (don’t worry, we’ll teach you all the tricks of the trade)
- Help with dental lab procedures (pouring, trimming—basically creating dental masterpieces)
- Provide chairside assistance during procedures (and offer comfort to patients who may need a little extra TLC)
- Educate patients on how to keep their smiles sparkling at home
- Keep patient records accurate and up-to-date (because organization is key)
- Schedule appointments like a pro (don’t worry, we’ve got great software to help you)
What You’ll Need to Shine in This Role:
- At least 6 months of experience in general dentistry is required.
- CPR certification (current).
- X-ray certification (current).
- Graduation from an accredited dental assistant program.
- Proficient in 4-handed dentistry, charting, and able to work at a fast pace.
- A solid understanding of dental anatomy and terminology (you know your bicuspids from your molars)
- Proficiency in taking dental x-rays (if you can smile and x-ray at the same time, even better)
- Experience with dental terminology and records management (bonus points for familiarity with Dentrix software)
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality (because we take privacy seriously)
- Strong communication skills (ability to explain dental care without sounding like a dental robot)
- Attention to detail and great organizational skills (because we know you’re the type who loves ticking off boxes)
- A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team (teamwork makes the dream work, after all)
What’s In It for You:
- A supportive, fun work environment (we laugh, we smile, we work hard—but we always have your back)
- Flexible schedule with alternate Wednesdays and Fridays off (because life’s better when you have time to enjoy it!)
- Work hours: Mon-Wed, 8 am - 5 pm (with an hour lunch break), and Thurs-Fri, 7 am - 2 pm (Whoo! Early Weekend)
