Summary

As a Food Safety Manager at DAVIDSON'S ORGANICS, you will be instrumental in maintaining and enhancing our food safety protocols and quality assurance processes. This role is vital in ensuring that our organic tea products meet regulatory standards and exceed customer expectations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain food safety management systems in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular audits of production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Oversee data collection and analysis related to food safety metrics and quality control.
• Coordinate training programs for staff on food safety practices and quality assurance protocols.
• Monitor compliance with CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) , SQF Level 2, USDA Organic, FDA, FSMA, OSHA, HACCP, Health Department and other regulatory requirements, throughout the production process.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address food safety issues and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare reports on food safety performance for management review.
• Stay updated on industry trends and changes in regulations related to food safety.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in food safety management or quality assurance within the food industry, preferably in organic products.
• Excellent knowledge of MSFT word, excel and outlook.
• Excellent analytical skills with experience in data collection and analysis.
• Familiarity with precision measuring instruments is a plus.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration across departments.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
• Must be bi-lingual in English and Spanish, in order to communicate with all staff members.
