Davidson is seeking an Electrical Engineer in Huntsville, Alabama to assist in the development of a new manufacturing line for electromechanical components. In this role, you will analyze existing production and test equipment, evaluate designs to improve production processes and quality, and guide the procurement, validation, and set up of new equipment.
To accomplish this mission, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop effective solutions and troubleshooting complex issues that arise during project execution. You will analyze production data and engage in technical discussions to refine designs and ensure compliance with industry standards and production goals, while also participating in regular project status meetings and reviews.
Your schedule will typically consist of four 10-hour shifts (Mon - Thurs), allowing you to enjoy extended weekends for work-life balance.
This position is contingent on funding.
Job Responsibilities :
- Proficiency in analog and digital circuits, control systems, and RF theory is essential for tackling complex engineering challenges.
- Familiarity with Special Test Equipment design, Design for Manufacturing principles, and the integration of hardware and software components / systems.
- A strong background in circuit board design and a thorough understanding of testing and analysis activities to ensure compliance with requirements are paramount. You will oversee the development of test requirement documents, test equipment requirement specifications, acceptance and validation test plans, and operation procedures.
- You will engage in Root Cause / Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations and provide resolutions.
- Exceptional communication, analytical, and organizational skills are vital, as collaboration within a fast-paced team environment is a key aspect of this position. Familiarity with industry standards such as IEEE 315 and AS9100, and their application into equipment design, as well as proficiency in tools like Windchill, Xpedition Designer, LabView and MATLAB, will further enhance your success in this role.
