Davidson is seeking a Mechanical Engineer in Huntsville, Alabama to assist in the development of a new manufacturing line for electromechanical components. In this role, you will analyze existing production and test equipment, evaluate designs to improve production quality, and guide procurement, validation, and set up of new equipment.
To accomplish this mission, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop effective solutions and troubleshooting complex issues that arise during project execution. You will analyze production data and engage in technical discussions to refine designs and ensure compliance with industry standards and production goals, while also participating in regular project status meetings and reviews.
Your schedule will typically consist of four 10-hour shifts, allowing you to enjoy extended weekends for work-life balance.
This position is contingent on funding.
Job Responsibilities :
- Experience in one or more of these focused areas : developing mechanical systems and components using CAD Software, Test equipment design and drafting, Tolerance Analysis, Thermal / Vibration Analysis and Test Method / Design from conception to completion of designed H / W
- Hardware and software components / systems Integration
- Test system requirements and verification methodologies
- Test plans / procedures development and test events
- Exhibits good communication, analytical, and organizational skills, within a fast-paced, collaborative team environment
- Application of industry standards such as ASME Y14.5M-1994 GD&T and ASME Y14., AIA / NAS 411, ANSI / ISO / IEC / IPC / IEEE and AS9100 into Design
- General understanding of incorporating Safety, Human factors into Designs
- Experience developing and operating test infrastructure in support of developing, testing and validating Component / Circuit Board Mechanical and Electromechanical hardware
- Experience deriving test, test methods and validation requirements for Mechanical and Electromechanical hardware
