Title : Facility Supervisor – Fuel Lane Services
Purpose : This position is directly responsible to oversee and coordinate services for all passenger and employee facilities owned and operated by WeGo Public Transit. The candidate will be responsible for assigning routine tasks, reoccurring projects, and goals to assigned staff members; as well as documenting, submitting, and maintaining those records. This position reports to the Transit Stop Manager. Facility locations are 130 Nestor Street, and 430 Myatt Drive.
Job Duties :
- Supervises Service Island Staff and Vehicle Cleaning Staff for the WeGo Transit fleet.
Assigns / Schedules daily work to be performed.
Ensure all assigned workspaces are maintained in a clean and safe fashion.Ensures compliance with the Labor Agreement.Schedules and ensures proper completion of all special requests / events.Inspects work performed to ensure that all assets meet the criteria set forth by WeGo Public Transit.Trains proper probing of vehicles, fueling of vehicles, checking of fluids, running vehicles through bus wash properly and in a safe manner.Coaches, and motivates crew members on safe practices while performing assignments, as well as counsels and recommends discipline.Trains staff to perform vehicle inspections for mechanical issues such as leaks, vibration, noises, or damage to fleet.Responsible for fleet rollout readiness .Ensures Clean and Fueled Revenue Fleet.Ensures all vehicles are cleaned routinely in accordance with the cleaning schedule.
Maintains the surfaces are clean and free of debris and oil by routine sweeping, scrubbing, and pressure washing as required.Performs Quality Assurance Inspections and observations. Provides feedback to Service Lane and Vehicle Cleaning Staff to improve efficiency and quality of work.Take care of customer complaints.Cleaning StaffAssigns unanticipated, routine, and project cleaning tasks to appropriate staff members.
Creates schedules and maintains daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, bi-annual, and annual tasks.Trains staff in cleaning methods, procedures, and proper operation of equipment.Records personnel data on specified forms and in specific programs.Orders supplies and anticipates company needs ensuring timely delivery of supplies.Processes appropriate invoices for supplies, facilities equipment, and WeGo Transit Centers office supplies.Reports on facility & equipment condition, and assets.Understand and comply with the agency’s Collective Bargaining AgreementWork Schedule : TBDResponsible for operation of major assets : fuel station, and bus wash. Ensures fuel station cleanliness.Inspects and approves the work performed by assigned personnel.Initiates, recommends, and implements process improvements to meet changing situations and to improve the overall efficiency of the service crew.Must be able to write, implement, and enforce SOPs.
Maintains close contact and cooperates with the other sections of Maintenance and the Operations DepartmentPerforms other duties as assigned.The principal duties are intended to describe those functions that are essential to the performance of this job and must be performed unaided or with the assistance of a reasonable accommodation. Physical Requirements with or without reasonable accommodations :
Sitting, standing, lifting to 50lbs, reaching, walking, talking, writing, carrying up to 35lbs, grasping, holding, clarity of vision, speaking, listening and repetitive motion of hands.Must be able to operate office equipment, including but not limited to telephone system, computer system, printer, copy machine, facsimile machine, and adding machine.Other requirements :
High level communication skills, Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.Ability to work with the General Public and Governmental AgenciesMust have a basic knowledge of cleaning techniques.
Experience in data analysis and inventory control.Must have basic knowledge of payroll / timecard systems.Must possess knowledge of MS Office (Work, Excel, Outlook).Understand and carry out detailed written or verbal instructions.Report to work as needed to maintain the integrity of WeGo facilities and operations during special events, holidays, etc.Ability to work assigned schedule and work overtime as needed.Respond to emergency situations (such as reporting to work early / staying late due to bad weather)Practice good customer service skills.Meet required deadlines.Must possess integrity.Maintain confidentiality.Have good problem-solving skills.Ability to compose written document.Work with little supervision, self-motivated.Maintain effective working relationship with all staff.The successful candidate must be able to effectively lead assigned union personnel and manage the Memorandum of Agreement between David Transit Organization and The Amalgamated Transit Union to maintain a good working relationship with the union.Recommended Preparation for Employment :
Any combination of education, training, and experience equivalent to two years of experience as a supervisor of a similar department or equivalentThe successful applicant will have a proven record of communication skills, computer proficiency, team building techniques, and ability to handle several projects at once.Classification under Fair Labor Standards Act : Non- Exempt
