Job Title: Partnerships and Business Development Manager
Purpose:
WeGo Public Transit is seeking an experienced and results-driven Partnerships and Business Development Manager to oversee the sales and its Community Impact Partnerships (CIP) and WeGo Ride initiatives. This individual will play a key role in driving sales, increasing program participation, and fostering meaningful relationships with community organizations. The individual will utilize their sales and business development expertise to effectively promote public transportation within the communities of Nashville and the 10 regional transit counties. Their role will involve enhancing visibility and understanding of public transportation while developing strategies to build networks and drive transit engagement. The position requires an independent, self-motivated professional who excels in project management, relationship-building, and strategic planning.

Job Functions:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to increase WeGo Ride partnerships and subsequent program participation.
- Identify and engage with potential corporate partners, organizations, and businesses to promote and sign-up new Community Impact Partnerships (CIP).
- Foster and maintain relationships with community organizations and stakeholders to expand WeGo's impact.
- Manage the implementation and execution of CIPs and WeGo Ride program to support organizational goals.
- Develop and monitor sales goals and performance metrics to ensure program success.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless execution of programs and initiatives.
- Independently manage program schedules and deliverables to ensure timely completion.
- Track and report on program performance, providing updates to leadership as needed.
- Ensure effective communication and coordination across departments and with WeGo Ride and CIP partners for program success.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned to support program goals and objectives.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills.
- Develop and implement comprehensive outreach strategies to engage business partners and community organizations in promoting public transit.
- Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders in the Nashville and Middle Tennessee area, along community sectors to enhance collaboration, partnering and referral opportunities.
- Identify and leverage community resources to facilitate connections with public transportation services.
- Monitor, evaluate, and report on outreach efforts, including CIP and WeGo Ride membership growth directly resulting from initiatives, and providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with Communications Department on marketing to ensure outreach materials align with organizational goals and messaging

Other Requirements:
- Understanding of sales, community partnerships, publicity, advertising production and public transit preferred. Knowledge in digital marketing and analytics best practices helpful. Knowledge of Microsoft products desired.
- Proven experience in community outreach, public relations, or a similar role, preferably within the public transit arena
- Well-developed networks with the community and/or business sector to assist in fostering regional and strategic community collaborations.
Recommended Preparation for Employment:
- 5 years in a regional sales and/or marketing role
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Public Relations, or related field.
- Strong communication skills - both external communications to sell WeGo Ride and CIP programs to businesses and corporations and internal communication to facilitate the planning & execution of marketing strategies. Self-starter and team player. Analytical and organized.
