About the Opportunity:
Digital Content Associate | $65,000-$75,000
David Zwirner seeks a Digital Content Associate to create, manage, and produce digital content across web, email, and social for a full-time 1-year contract role.
Working across digital channels on creating narratives and content marketing relating to David Zwirner, David Zwirner Books, and 52 Walker programming, this position reports to the Digital Editorial Director.
Success in this integral, cross-departmental role requires experience in and enthusiasm for social and digital platforms, a genuine interest in fine art, an understanding of basic best practices across relevant channels, and intermediate-level editing and content creation skills. The individual in this role should be highly organized, a savvy, independent thinker with a passion for excellence, who takes an enthusiastic and collaborative approach to content production and campaign management.
Working in close partnership with the relevant department leads, this multifaceted role provides content support for DZ exhibitions, artists, and the Dialogues podcast as needed; will serve as the primary digital content lead for 52 Walker; will be responsible for all related website calendars, digital marketing materials, and more.
This role will also support the Content Producer with regular uploads and updates on the David Zwirner website, as well as the Digital Marketing team to track and make content uploads to 3rd-party commercial platforms such as Artsy & Artnet.
What you’ll do:
Content Creation, Support & Management
- Create content for all artist pages on DZ.com (news articles, posts for museum shows, updates before major shows/moments, etc.)
- Create marketing materials for 52W and DZ
- Create content, narratives, and layouts for DZ exhibitions and initiatives)
- Support production of the Dialogues podcast by managing schedules of Talent & Host, audio quality assurance, research, etc
- Maintain a sharp but comprehensive cultural calendar to support podcast & marketing programming
Web Production
- Support Content Producer with DZ website builds, updates, and uploads
- Upload and update content for all artist pages on DZ.com
- Track and upload content to 3rd party commercial platforms
What we would like you to have:
- BA/BS or equivalent working experience.
- 2 years of experience in digital content and editorial work, creating and editing content for a comparable institution.
- Experience with CMS strongly preferred
- Experience as a project manager or coordinator strongly preferred
- Extremely detail-oriented and deadline-driven, with strong project management and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to creatively collaborate and coordinate content from multiple departments
- Ability to write effective, engaging copy for website and email
- Experience creating content for multiple channels, including web and email
- Impeccable copywriting, editing, and writing skills
- Strong design/layout sensibility and skills preferred
- Knowledge of Figma, Adobe Photoshop, HTML, and CSS ideal
