Davies Claims North America is seeking a Liability Claim Supervisor to join our growing team! Reporting to the Manager or AVP of P&C TPA, you will oversee adjusting staff and team assistants, ensuring high-quality claim handling. This role exclusively handles Governmental Entity Claims.
To succeed in this position, you must demonstrate strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with a high level of attention to detail. You must also have superior time management, organization, and multi-tasking abilities in a fast-paced environment. Superb written and verbal communication skills are essential. This is a full-time, remote position with occasional travel required for claims meetings, client visits, and continuing education seminars to maintain your adjuster license.
As a Liability Claim Supervisor, you will:
- Supervise claims specialists to ensure compliance with company, client, and state policies
- Monitor workflow, train staff, and recommend process improvements for efficiency
- Oversee public sector claims exclusively, ensuring adherence to Florida sovereign immunity regulations
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to drive customer service and retention
- Manage staff performance, attendance, and HR-related functions in coordination with management
- Ensure accurate claim documentation, liability investigations, and resolution
- Maintain and review supervisor and specialist diaries for timely claim processing
- Ensure claims specialists meet quality control (QC) audit standards and performance benchmarks
- Oversee reserving, excess reporting, subrogation handling, and litigation attendance
- Approve and document reserve changes, settlements, and claim closures per policy
- Attend and coordinate client status reviews as needed
- Handle special projects and additional duties as assigned
Your Expertise, Skills, and Abilities
- 5 years of Property, General Liability, and Legal claims adjusting experience (including Professional Lines, Law Enforcement, Slip and Fall, and Auto Liability)
- Experience handling Governmental Entity Claims is highly preferred
- College degree or four or more years of equivalent work experience
- Previous experience in a supervisory or management role preferred

- Self-insured retention (SIR)
- Excess policies
- Tiered Deductibles
- Proper reserving, excess carrier reporting and notice, reservation of rights letters
- Knowledgeable and experienced multi-state regulations, and statues
- Client and account management
- Client and claims reporting

Liability Insurance Policies
- Third-party administrator (TPA) experience strongly desired
- Experience handling claims for municipalities strongly desired
- Proficient knowledge of claims operations platforms, Microsoft Office
- Desired insurance certification: AIC, AIM, ARM, CPCU, etc.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated through the preparation of reports, presentations, and meetings for diverse audiences
