Job Overview
Davies North America is looking for an experienced Auto Bodily Injury Claims Adjuster to investigate coverage, liability, and damages for injury auto claim cases. Reporting to the Associate Claims Manager, you will negotiate with claimants, attorneys and other insurance carriers through the life of the claim.
To be successful in this role, you need to have superb written and verbal communication as well as excellent organizational, multi-tasking, problem solving, and decision-making skills. You must have a bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university (preferred) and 2 years of auto claims experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Additionally, you will need to apply basic algebra and geometry calculations, work collaboratively, and independently with minimal supervision, and be an excellent team player with interpersonal skills. This role is a full-time, home-based position.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Communicate with insureds, claimants, witnesses, attorneys, and other carriers via telephone & written correspondence
- Communicate with internal personnel including legal and management
- Take recorded statements
- Make liability and coverage decisions based on conclusions of investigation
- Issue payments
- Maintain a pending and closing ratio of 100%
- Establish and maintain reserves and payments
- Present large loss report and communicate with manager as well as internal and external customers
- Review and interpret estimates
- Manage difficult or emotional customer situations; responds promptly to customer needs

This is a home-based, full time, salaried, exempt position that predominantly operates remotely from a professional home-based office environment routinely using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, photocopiers, and scanners and requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk while working on a computer. While performing the duties of this job, the individual will be required to regularly hear and talk. This is a largely sedentary role requiring the ability to sit at a desk, reach outward, use a phone, have use of fingers to operate office equipment such as a keyboard, mouse, phone, printer, copier, and to reach above the head, bend, or stand as necessary.
