The Pharmacy Tech Assists in various pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
Tasks And Responsibilities Include
- Preparing, dispensing, and distributing patient medications.
- Preparation includes compounded medication doses, both sterile and non-sterile.
- Maintaining patient records
- Packaging/labeling of medication doses
- Billing
- Adhere to pharmacy standards, written procedures and guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Accurate completion of daily activities and the follow-through of tasks to ensure completion.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Indiana Pharmacy Technician License that is active and in good standing.
- Pharmacy Technician National Certification or ability to obtain with one year of hire.
- Recent work experience as a Pharmacy Technician (Hospital experience preferred).
