What are the responsibilities and job description for the Phlebotomist position at Daviess Community Hospital?

Job Description

Performs venipuncture and skin punctures competently and expediently as well as collection of various swabs.
Has thorough knowledge of test requirements, assists in Clinical Laboratory as needed.
Responsibilities include blood cultures, blood samples, urine drug screening, must be able to give instructions to patient for various specimen collections.
Promote excellent customer service.

Qualifications

Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent required.

Phlebotomy certification preferred as well, but not required.

Excellent communication and customer service skills required-must be comfortable and professional in interacting with clients, office staff and patients.
