DaVinci Eye Care is growing! We need to expand our patient care staff and are seeking career driven, motivated applicants for the following position(s):
- Optometric Technician/Front Desk Receptionist
Candidates must be exceptionally friendly, motivated to learn, and enjoy working with patients. Ability to multitask is a plus. We have an outstanding work environment and are looking for the right people who will work well with our current staff.
Experience in a medical field preferred but not required; we will train the right person.
Similar to any type of medical assistant, an optometric assistant works with patients of all ages to perform medical testing, gather important health information, and assist the doctor in caring for the patient. Attention to detail, superior listening skills, ability to follow detailed instructions, efficiency, and compassion are all required.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in direct patient care and assist physicians to provide ongoing patient care
- Perform auxiliary testing (OCT/fundus photos, visual fields, autorefraction, visual acuities, etc.)
- Input pre-testing results into EHR
- Communicate patient health status to other medical personnel
- Schedule medical and vision appointments
- Verify insurance eligibility
- Participate in standardized health care programs and seminars
- Assist patients with glasses and contacts, as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in patient care or other medical fields
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment
- Computer literacy
- Basic mathematical equation skills required
