Job Description
Davis Behavioral Health, Inc. is seeking a part-time Office Specialist - Front Desk to provide coverage at the front desk and complete daily office support functions at the front desk in its outpatient clinic located on the Kaysville/Layton border.
Essential Job Duties
Front Desk
The successful candidate will work at the front desk in the outpatient clinic Monday through Friday as outlined above. Duties assigned to this position will consist of working at the receptionist desk checking in clients for appointments, answering phone calls, and providing excellent customer service to clients, co-workers, and community partners as well as completing office support tasks such as scanning, answering phone calls, etc.
Backup Coverage
In addition to completing the daily appointment reminder calls and checking clients in for appointments, the successful candidates may be expected to provide backup coverage for the front desk staff in the outpatient clinic for vacations, sick time, and other leave in the clinic, which will require the successful candidate to be flexible and cross-trained.
The clinic is open Monday - Thursday from 9:00 am to 8:00pm and Friday from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm. In the event that this employee is called in to provide backup coverage during the daily reminder call time, the calls will be made from the clinic instead of from their home.
Schedule & Location
Located at 952 South Main Street, Layton, Utah 84041
This position has the following set schedule:
- Monday through Thursday 1:30 pm to 9:00 pm
- Friday 12:30 pm to 5:00 pm
- The daily end time varies based on appointments.
- Weekly hours will be less than 30.
Compensation & Classification
The starting wage for this position is $18.00 per hour. This position is classified as regular part-time and has a non-exempt status. Hours shall not exceed 29 in any given week. A $67.31 bi-weekly Spanish-language incentive stipend available. Must pass a Spanish assessment.
The successful applicant will answer telephones and route calls based on requests or subject matter; schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments: provide information to the public: greet walk-in and potential clients: refer clients to appropriate staff: accept payments: data entry: process and maintain variety of records, file, type, distribute mail, complete end-of-day receipts: and complete other tasks as assigned. Successful applicant must be flexible and willing to perform some intake work, records, and other office duties.
Required Experience
Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate must:

Be at least 18 years old.

Have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Possess strong verbal communication skills.

Have demonstrated professional customer service experience.

Demonstrate compassion, courtesy and respect to all clients and their families.

Have exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to establish immediate rapport with clients.
Desired Skills
In addition to the required minimum qualifications, the successful candidate is expected to have have the following skills:

Computer knowledge, including keyboarding (typing) skills.

Possess proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other computer programs.

Previous experience working in a medical office and/or familiarity with medical terminology preferred.

Experience with business office equipment (credit card machines, fax machines, printers, etc.) preferred.
Spanish
Preference will be given to candidates who are bi-lingual English/Spanish; however, this is not a requirement.

DBH Criminal Background Check & Drug Screening Disclaimer

Salary : $18
