Job Description
Davis Behavioral Health (DBH) is actively recruiting a full-time Psychiatric Registered Nurse to work in the Med Clinic located on its Layton campus.

Essential Job Functions
Responsibilities assigned to the Med Clinic Nurse include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Coordinate with psychiatrists and APRNs regarding patient medication plans.
- Communicate with pharmacies to ensure accurate medication dispensing.
- Track and confirm that patients receive their oral medications or injections.
- Manage the Clozapine Registry, ensuring compliance with required lab monitoring.
- Collaborate with primary care providers to integrate care plans.
- Build rapport with patients to encourage medication adherence and consistency.
- Educate patients about their medications, including potential side effects.
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions and report findings to the treatment team.
- Collaborate with treatment team members, including case managers, to address patient needs.
- Other responsibilities, as assigned.
All new employees at DBH have a 6-month introductory period to assess whether they can perform the essential functions of the job at the expected level, within the specified timeframes, and are a good fit for the job.
Employment Schedule
This position is classified as part-time, non-exempt. The successful candidate will work approximately 24 hours per week.
Location
The DBH Layton Campus is located at 2250 North Robins Dr., Layton, UT 84041.
Compensation
The successful candidate will be offered a base rate based on license type and post-licensure experience.
The hourly wage for an entry-level registered nurse is $34.00. The exact starting rate for RNs at DBH is calculated using the starting rate 1% per year for each year of post-licensure experience.
Required Experience
Must be licensed as either a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Utah. Due to licensing rules, applicants who hold professional licensure under an interstate compact must obtain a Utah license within 30 days of accepting employment at DBH. Certification in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing preferred.
Experience working with patients with severe mental illnesses, such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, treatment-resistant depression, and dual diagnosis with addiction, is highly desirable.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Ability to build rapport and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Proficiency in monitoring and assessing patient responses to medications.
- Ability to educate patients and families about medication management.
- Competence in using electronic health records and other healthcare software.
Preference will also be given to candidates who are bilingual English/Spanish.

DBH Criminal Background Check & Drug Screening Disclaimer
Davis Behavioral Health is a drug-free workplace and requires all employees to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening.
