Job Description
Davis Behavioral Health, Inc. is actively seeking a part-time Scheduling Representative to manage client appointments and be an active and supporting member of the Clinical Support Team while building and maintaining positive relationships with DBH's clients.
Job Duties
The Scheduling Representative is responsible for the following job duties:
Answer all phones calls made to the central scheduling number/extension and schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments for all clients in a warm, friendly, and prompt manner.
Be informed of the daily operations of clinical and medical staff and their appointment preferences, including wait lists.
Convey all necessary information related to the client's appointment.
Update appointments cancelled through automated system.
Work within DBH's electronic medical record system and have a working knowledge of HIPAA and other privacy laws.
Answer telephones, screen calls, take messages, and provide information to the appropriate source, when necessary.
All other duties as assigned related to the needs of the organization.
The clinical support staff at DBH provide the first impression for its clients and play an important role in helping clients who may be struggling with their mental health, which is why providing excellent customer service in a prompt manner is critical.
Location
This position will work in the Davis Behavioral Health Main Street Clinic located at 934 South Main Street, Layton, Utah 84041
Schedule
The successful candidate will work the following schedule:
Monday through Thursday 8:00 am to 1:00 pm
Friday 8:00 am to 12:30 pm
Compensation
Starting pay for this position is $18.00 per hour.
Required Experience
Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate must:
Be at least 18 years old.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Possess strong verbal communication skills.
Have demonstrated professional customer service experience.
Demonstrate compassion, courtesy and respect to all clients and their families.
Have exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to establish immediate rapport with clients.
Desired Skills
In addition to the required minimum qualifications, the successful candidate is expected to have have the following skills:
Computer knowledge, including keyboarding (typing) skills.
Possess proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other computer programs.
Previous experience working in a medical office and/or familiarity with medical terminology preferred.
Experience with business office equipment (credit card machines, fax machines, printers, etc.) preferred.
Spanish
Preference will be given to candidates who are bi-lingual English/Spanish; however, this is not a requirement.
