As a Full Time Therapist specializing in Intensive Stabilization at Davis Behavioral Health, you can expect a dynamic and fulfilling day-to-day experience. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting assessments, developing crisis intervention plans, and providing therapy to clients facing acute mental health challenges. You'll work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care tailored to each individual's needs.

This full-time position is typically assigned to weekdays; however, evening work may be necessary to accommodate clients and their families. Flexibility is key, as DBH reserves the right to schedule overtime, weekend shifts, or evening/night shifts based on operational needs. Additionally, some assignments may require in and out of state travel to ensure you can reach clients wherever they are.

The specific schedule will be established in collaboration with your program supervisor upon hire, allowing for a tailored approach to your professional journey.

Proficiency in trauma-informed care-including the ability to screen, assess, and treat clients from a trauma lens-is fundamental to your success.

Strong organizational and practice management skills will aid your independent work, while the capacity to establish and maintain productive relationships with colleagues and community/state agencies is essential. Additionally, a robust knowledge of community resources will empower you to connect clients with needed support. Flexibility in your availability, including evenings and weekends, will enhance your effectiveness in this role.

DBH Criminal Background Check & Drug Screening Disclaimer


Davis Behavioral Health is a drug-free workplace and requires all employees to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening. DBH will not hire individuals currently using illegal drugs or abusing alcohol; therefore, making employment at DBH conditional upon successfully passing pre-employment drug screening by providing a valid sample. Candidates who are offered employment are required to report for a drug screen at an Intermountain WorkMed location within 24 hours of being requested to do so by the DBH Human Resources Department.


Davis Behavioral Health works with Federal grants and must comply with the Federal drug laws, including no use of medical marijuana.


Further, all employees at DBH must successfully pass a pre-employment criminal background check as part of DBH's licensing agreement with the State of Utah. Failure to pass either screening will result in the termination of any job offer submitted and/or employment for any individual who has started employment while the criminal background screening is in process. Pending and/or open charges will likely impact a candidate's ability to pass the pre-employment criminal background screening.
