In this role, we are looking for an individual who can perform civil engineering duties in planning, designing, and overseeing construction; one who will take pride in the work they perform to improve the local landscape. The ideal candidate must have knowledge in sea level fluctuation evaluations, dredging, shoreline and sediment budget analysis, and marina development. Project management experience is essential.

RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Utilize design software, computer aided drafting, and other applicable tools to plan, design, and permit public works projects such as water infrastructure, stormwater conveyance/management, marina development, detached breakwaters, bulkhead analysis, and stone jetty design.
2. Assist public and private clients with plan reviews, project planning, and associated coordination with regulatory agencies.
3. Perform civil design analysis and calculations according to project requirements.
4. Plan projects based on the analysis of relevant materials such as drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, survey reports, maps, and other geologic and topography data.
5. Draft and present reports on topics related to projects such as numerical modeling of dredged material within a water body and coastal erosion.
6. Estimate materials, equipment, and labor needed to determine project costs.
7. Perform other related duties as necessary for successful completion of projects.
EDUCATION & SKILLS
The preferred candidate would possess a four (4) year degree in civil or coastal engineering. A minimum of four (4) years of related experience, proficiency in AutoCAD, and the demonstrated ability to market and work with planners, developers, municipalities, and regulatory agencies is expected. The preferred candidate shall possess a professional engineering license in the State of Maryland or have the ability to obtain licensure within 12 months of employment.
