Animal Care of Davis County is currently hiring for a full-time Animal Field Resource Supervisor in Fruit Heights, Utah. Follow us on Social Media This exciting management position reports to the Animal Care Director and has management responsibility over field operations and dispatch.
Minimum Requirements: Graduation from high school plus four (4) years of increasingly responsible animal control experience or a closely related field, one (1) year of which must have included supervisory experience; an acceptable combination of education and experience may be considered.
Post high school education in animal or veterinary science, or business management may be substituted for some of the required work experience.
Preference for candidates that have experience in training, scheduling and developing new programs and initiatives. Knowledge of report writing, analyzing statistics, and developing policies and procedures. Preference for work experience in the military or as a police officer.
Pay Range: $26.08 - $33.14/hr. Salary based on qualifications and experience.
Examples of Day to Day Duties (refer to job description for more examples): Assigns and directs daily activities including investigation of complaints and biting animals, patrol, enforcement of state and local laws regarding animal control, quarantine, euthanasia and disposal of animals, directly and through staff supervisors. Assists in the preparation and processing of payroll, including reviewing timecards, approving time off requests and verifying hours worked. Provides public education regarding needs for laws pertaining to animals; builds positive public relations regarding the need for responsible pet ownership.
