Food Services Manager

Department: Western Sports Park (formally Legacy Events Center)

Salary: $23.23 - $35.89 Hourly

Closing Date: Open Until Filled

This position may require working mornings, evenings, night shifts, split shifts, weekends, and some holidays; indoor and outdoor locations.

Davis County Western Sports Park (formerly Legacy Events Center) is currently hiring for Food Services Manager in Farmington, Utah. This position performs supervisory and a variety of skilled work in managing food services at the Western Sports Park, including a convenience store, vending machines, and concessions stands, catering and contracting with outside vendors.

Requirements

• High school graduation or equivalent.
• One year of experience in customer service.
• Six months practical experience with cash register and food handling procedures. Related education may be substituted for experience.
• Must possess current food handler's permit. Must possess or be able to obtain within 2 months of hire Food Safety Manager Certification.
• Must possess a valid driver license
• Preference may be given for catering experience, fluency in Spanish, and six (6) months of supervisory experience.

Day to Day Duties

• Supervises and trains assigned staff; assists in hiring new employees; responsible for properly training new employees in food preparation, cleaning, and effective cash control procedures.
• Evaluates employee performance; addresses, documents and corrects performance problems in a timely manner.
• Makes staff assignments and sets staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage for concession utilization, security, and efficient customer service.
• Establishes accounts with food suppliers as needed and in accordance with County policy.
• Directs, coordinates, and participates in preparation of food items including cooking, storing, wrapping, or packing types of food served or prepared for customers, parties, and scheduled events. Performs or arranges catering for events held on the premises.
