What are the responsibilities and job description for the Aide, Certified position at Davis Health System?
Perform various direct patient care activities, procedures, and other indirect services under the direction of a Registered Nurse, Charge Nurse, and/or Nurse Manager. Assist with the activities of daily living and non-professional services necessary in caring for the patients’ personal needs.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Providing and/or assisting patients with activities of daily living and daily assignments including providing personal care, hygiene, and grooming for patients; and assisting patient in toileting.
- Complete procedures assigned by Registered Nurse and/or Charge Nurse in a manner consistent with facility policy and regulatory guidelines including, but not limited to, taking and recording vital signs and assisting with feeding patient.
- Complete department records as instructed in a timely, accurate manner.
- Provide courteous and prompt responses to patient requests.
- Provide courteous and prompt responses to patient requests.
- Alert Registered Nurse and/or Charge Nurse to changes in condition and vital sign findings of the patient.
- Assist in orientation of new nursing assistants.
- Perform work in a cost-effective manner.
- Demonstrate positive customer service and co-worker relations.
- Participate in the continuous quality improvement activities of the department and institution.
- Complete special projects as assigned.
