At Davis and Miller General Dentistry, we are looking for a Dental Insurance Coordinator to work with insurance companies to verify patients' benefits, enter insurance payments, check/appeal all insurance claims, and support our admin team.
Responsibilites:
- Explaining insurance benefits to patients
- Entering data using dental practice management software
- Following up on non-paid insurance claims
- Processing insurance payments and refunds
- Monitoring weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to confirm payment from insurance companies
- Input a complete breakdown of insurance benefits
- Process and send electronic claims
- Assist team members and patients with insurance inquiries
- Assist admin team as needed - answering phones, checking patients in and out, entering payments, creating and presenting treatment plans.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience
- Well-versed in dental terminology and procedures
- Working knowledge of insurance company policies
Hours: Monday - Thursday 6:30am - 3:30pm (office hours 7am - 3pm)
