Job Summary
Davis Paint and Collision is seeking a skilled Mechanical ADAS Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in industrial maintenance and diagnose and fix issues with ADAS systems, including sensor malfunctions, wiring problems, and component failures. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can effectively utilize precision measuring instruments and ohmmeters to ensure optimal performance of mechanical systems.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and Repair: Diagnose and fix issues with ADAS systems, including sensor malfunctions, wiring problems, and component failures.
- Calibration: Perform calibrations to ensure ADAS sensors are properly aligned and functioning correctly, which is crucial for the safety and performance of features like adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and automatic emergency braking.
- Sensor Replacement: Can identify, remove, and replace damaged or faulty ADAS sensors, including radar, lidar, and camera sensors.
- System Integration: Understand how ADAS systems interact with other vehicle systems and ensure proper integration during repairs and calibrations.
- Follow OEM Procedures: Adhere to manufacturer-specific procedures and guidelines for ADAS repairs and calibrations to ensure safety and reliability.
- Use Specialized Tools: Utilize specialized diagnostic tools, calibration equipment, and software to work on ADAS systems.
- Stay Up-to-Date: Need to stay informed about the latest ADAS technologies and calibration techniques.
Experience
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Experience in technical sales or customer service related to mechanical systems
