Position Summary
The systems and projects coordinator assists with the day-to-day support of the firm’s financial systems as it relates to client accounting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assists with troubleshooting time and billing issues, working with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve
- Assists with answering questions related to the time and billing system
- Meets with various levels of personnel, providing suggestions and documenting feedback to improve user experience
- Creates test scripts and performs testing for upgrades, patches, new development and applications
- Provides specifications for client accounting dashboarding development and reports
- Assists with facilitating the billing compliance process including rule design, testing and deployment process
- Liaises with vendor to enhance, troubleshoot, design and test billing template updates
- Assists with inventory and year-end collections tool maintenance
- Runs daily, weekly and monthly time reports to ensure timely input of time
- Responsible for daily time import
Qualifications/Position Requirements
- Strong background and knowledge of law firm billing and time entry processes
- Ability to work independently with direction from management as needed
- Detail oriented with well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to navigate and prioritize multiple assignments with competing deadlines
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage projects independently
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Proficiency in Microsoft suite applications
- Basic understanding of SSMS and SQL Compact Query Analyzer
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- 1-3 years of related experience preferred
- Experience working with Aderant preferred
Compensation
The expected base salary for this position ranges from $65,000 - $75,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Davis Polk offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
