Position Summary
The Financial Operations team supports the firm across a broad spectrum of initiatives, including Finance and Accounting strategic projects, process improvement, product launches and adoption, and coordination across department teams.
The Senior Analyst, Financial Operations is an integral part of the team, reporting to the Senior Manager, Financial Operations and working closely with leadership on annual review processes as well as supporting a variety of operations, process improvement, and reporting initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Typical responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Annual review processes: Coordinate the administration of annual review processes, including preparing presentations, tracking progress, working with technical teams, working with partners and firm leadership, and distributing time-sensitive materials
- Operations: Develop a deep understanding of Finance and Accounting data, best practices and systems. Collaborate with department teams on annual planning, strategy, and optimization initiatives.
- Documentation: Create and organize documentation for new and current processes and best practices for the department, including training and onboarding materials. Organize and maintain department documentation and collateral.
- Coordination: Coordinate with operations and accounting teams across global offices and collaborate directly with global teams to ensure strong communication, reporting, and best practices. Identify opportunities for Partner outreach and engagement.
Qualifications/Position Requirements

- Ability to work confidently and collaboratively with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Good judgment and professional maturity including the ability to manage confidential information with the utmost discretion
- A sharp eye for detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree; degree or coursework in operations, human resources and/or another quantitative field preferred
- Minimum four years of relevant experience preferred
Compensation
The expected base salary for this position ranges from $110,000 - $130,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Davis Polk offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
