Description
Duties : Responsible for creating a positive learning environment in a secondary school setting (grades 7 - 9) where students develop the skills to become critical thinkers, problem solvers, lifelong learners, and productive citizens. Also responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing an appropriate instructional program in a secondary school learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential. Essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to, the following : (1) Effectively deliver instruction in Engineering Technology, Exploring Technology, and Robotics Technology; (2) Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests; (3) Establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order among students; (4) Collaborate in the development, evaluation, and revision of CTE curriculum and
- participate in departmental and school improvement initiatives; (5) Engage students in hands-on, experiential learning, encouraging creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills;
6) Assess students' progress by grading assignments, tests, and projects, providing constructive feedback, and adapting teaching strategies to support individual learning needs; (7)
Maintain a positive, organized, and safe learning environment that promotes respect and motivates students to learn; (8) Participate in workshops, training, and professional learning
communities to stay current with advancements in CTE education and teaching methodologies; and (9) Such other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
