Description
THE FOLLOWING POSITION IS ONLY AVAILABLE FOR THE REST OF THE 2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR. Woods Cross Elementary Special Education Preschool Teacher PART TIME 4 hrs daily EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Preschool Special Education Certification DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Compile and maintain children's permanent special education file. 2. Provide training and modeling for data collection for classroom teacher. 3. Responsible for recording data, compiling data recorded by others, and tracking progress of children's IEP's. 4. Provide training and modeling for the classroom staff within the classroom setting. Within the classroom, the Special Education teacher works with the children in the adaptation of classroom activities to meet IEP goals. 5. Participate fully in classroom activities in conjunction with the classroom staff to provide opportunities for children. 6. Provide training to classroom staff in confidentiality. Document dates of training and those in attendance. 7. Follow and complete transition process for each child in accordance with the department transition guidelines. 8. Be an active participant in weekly team meetings with individual classroom teachers. Focus on the individual children and submit a copy of the team meeting form to the Disabilities Manager at weekly staff meetings. 9. Attend monthly inservice with an attitude of learning. 10. Attend and be prepared for meetings. 11. Attend parent orientation meetings for Preschool/Head Start classes when possible. 12. Participate in "assessment teams" as assigned. JOB RELATED EXPERIENCE: 1. Two years experience related to the above tasks, knowledge, skills and abilities or and equivalent combination of education and experience.
