We are currently looking for a skilled Skid Steer Operators to join our team during the winter season. If you have experience operating skid steers and are committed to providing excellent snow removal service, we want to hear from you!

Job Responsibilities:

• Snow Removal: Operate a loader with various attachments (e.g. push box) to clear snow from parking lots, roads, driveways, and sidewalks efficiently and safely.
• Pre-Storm Preparations: Assist with applying de-icing or salt to roads and walkways before and during snow events to prevent ice buildup.
• Monitor Weather Conditions: Stay informed on weather forecasts and conditions to respond promptly when snowstorms or freezing conditions occur.
• Route Management: Follow assigned routes and complete tasks according to the schedule, ensuring all areas are cleared safely and efficiently.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and road regulations to ensure the safety of yourself, other drivers, and pedestrians during snow removal operations.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to work long shifts in cold, snowy, and icy conditions, and physically demanding environments.
• Maintenance Checks: Perform daily inspections of snow plow vehicles and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order. Report any maintenance or mechanical issues to the supervisor.
• Emergency Response: Be available for on-call or emergency snow removal work during snowstorms and extreme weather conditions, even during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Work Collaboratively: Coordinate with other snow removal team members, supervisors, and fleet managers to ensure proper snow removal coverage.
• Equipment Operation: Safely operate other winter maintenance equipment as needed, such as salt spreaders, skid steers, and front-end loaders.
• Software/App Usage: Manage clock in and out, Take clear and accurate photos during and after snow removal to document work completed and provide visual proof for service verification.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous experience operating loaders or similar heavy equipment is preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License
• Physical Stamina: Ability to work long shifts, often in challenging weather conditions, including heavy snow, ice, and cold temperatures.
• Availability: Must be available for on-call shifts, especially during snowstorms, evenings, and weekends.
• Safety-Oriented: Knowledge of safety procedures and best practices when operating heavy equipment and working in adverse weather conditions.
• Mechanical Knowledge: Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and the ability to identify and report mechanical issues.
• Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and customers regarding snow removal status and any issues that arise.
