What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Rec. Collector position at Davis Standard?

Responsibilities:
- Locate and notify customers of delinquent accounts by email and telephone to solicit payment.
- Persuade customers to pay amounts due within payment terms.
- Responsible for properly having updated notes on all accounts once customer has been contacted regarding their account balance.
- Work with appropriate personnel/departments to resolve any internal issues that is preventing a customer from paying their invoices within payment terms.
- Escalate collection issues timely to management.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned in support of the Accounts Receivable department
- Locate and monitor overdue accounts, using computers and a variety of automated systems.
- Reconcile discrepancies on assigned accounts.
- Advise customers of necessary actions and strategies for debt repayment.
- Responsible for sending customers their monthly Accounts Receivable Statements
- Ad hoc analysis and reporting on a customer or project basis
- Maintain customer's sales tax exemption certificates
- Perform various administrative functions for assigned accounts, such as recording address changes and updating the records of customers.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
- Awareness of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, EHS&S programs.
Job/Skills Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum 2 years experience in Accounts Receivable, focused on collections
- Superior attention to detail and accuracy and is highly organized
- Ability to arrange, comprehend, and analyze large amounts of complex information
- Ability to establish rapport and work efficiently with different business stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a fast-paced, high-performance Team environment
- Strong communication skills with ability to present analysis and findings in both verbal and written formats
- Must be flexible and willing to take on any additional tasks as needed
- Must have a positive attitude, be willing to learn new things, and train others as needed
- Able to problem-solve and innovate independently and is self-motivated
- Time Management – Self starter and able to manage their own time.
