Job Title: Global Requirements Lead - Systems Engineering (DOORS Administrator)
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global Requirements Lead with a strong background in systems engineering and DOORS administration. This position will provide leadership in ensuring a disciplined approach to systems engineering for program initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience managing complex system baselines, defining relationships between components, and effectively communicating technical requirements to a diverse set of stakeholders. The role also involves cross-functional support for requirements management, DOORS administration, and development of innovative solutions to engineering challenges.
Work Locations:
This position will be based in Colorado Springs, CO, with work split between Colorado Springs and Schriever Air Force Base (AFB).
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a Systems Engineering leader for the definition, development, and analysis of system capabilities, with an emphasis on requirements management and baseline control.
- Use the DOORS tool to maintain system and component baselines, while generating functional, performance, and interface specifications for system requirements.
- Coordinate with various engineering disciplines to resolve system-level issues and ensure compliance with user and operational needs.
- Collaborate with technical leads, team members, and government customers to produce high-quality engineering products on time and within budget.
- Conduct systems engineering analysis to propose changes to user CONOPS, operational concepts, and interface requirements.
- Provide training to less experienced personnel on systems engineering techniques and DOORS processes and procedures.
- Perform cross-functional support tasks, including Global DOORS Administration for multiple sites, creating DOORS modules and reports, and synchronizing modules between sites.
- Coordinate internal and external Component Control Boards (CCBs) and produce Element Specification (ES) documents for internal and government use.
- Support the development and presentation of Global DOORS data via browser-accessible interfaces, including XML-based reporting.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Math, Science, Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience/combined education.
- Extensive experience as a DOORS Administrator with a strong focus on managing requirements, baselines, and component relationships.
- Strong DOORS scripting experience (DXL scripting) and ability to improve DOORS database performance.
- Ability to analyze high-level needs, develop requirements management schema, and define attributes using a structured, logical approach.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical findings clearly and effectively.
- Experience in leading systems engineering efforts, with a deep understanding of the warfighter’s operational needs and system capabilities.
- Top Secret clearance is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with C2BMC, BMDS, or similar large-scale defense systems.
- Prior experience in the integration of product lines and generation of capability specifications.
- Familiarity with XML for reporting and technical performance measures.
