The Recruiting and Admissions Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the recruitment and enrollment efforts at Davis Technical College. This position involves overseeing and supervising a team of recruiters and admissions advisors and admissions technicians, ensuring that all of them are providing high-quality support to students in achieving their academic goals. This position is responsible for assisting prospective and new students throughout the admissions process, from initial inquiry to enrollment. The Recruiting and Admissions Coordinator will also collaborate with faculty, staff, and administration to enhance the overall recruiting and admissions process for students. They will be an active member of the leadership team in Student Services.

- Manages all aspects of recruiting and admissions including supervision of staff, day-to-day operations, creatinganddocumentingprocedures,analyzingdata,recordkeeping,coordinating with various internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring a customer service-orientated focus.
- Assists students in understanding program details and reviewing payment and attendance policies.
- Provides advisement to potential students on issues such as financial aid information, ADA related services, career goals, and professional development. Serves as an intermediary for communication with staff, faculty, and others up to the point of program enrollment.
- Meets with potential students and external partners related to their specialization in scheduling tours and providing program information.
- Organizes and delegate events such as Open House, 9th Grade Day, and other events.
- Helps train and mentor new Recruiting and Admissions Advising staff.
- Supports recruiters and admissions advisors and address issues during times of conflict with students, parents, and/or another party member.
- Establishesandmaintainscooperativerelationshipswithpartneringschooldistricts,internal stakeholders, students, faculty, staff, and administrators.
- Identifies prior education to evaluate the possibility of accelerating student progress in coordination with the Admissions Technician, as appropriate.
- Provides presentations and engaging demonstrations of Davis Technical College programs and resources to outside partners including secondary education, employers, community organizations, and student groups and communities associated with their area of specialty.
- Supervises student ambassadors in recruiting and outreach efforts, and train and guide other Recruiting and Admissions Specialists in services to student groups and communities associated with their area of specialty.
- Identifies gaps and coordinates solutions to streamline and create more efficiency in recruiting and admissions systems and processes. Research and order swag for recruitment and other events.
- Coordinateswith the Human Resources DepartmentandDirectorofStudentServicesforstaffhiringand disciplinary personnel actions.
- Fosters relationships with secondary and higher education partners, and student groups and communities associated with their area of specialty (VA, ADA, Financial Aid, etc.).
- Manages and monitors gaps and identifies systems and processes to overcome barriers specific to their area of specialty.
- Conductsperformanceevaluationsforallrecruiters and admissions advisors; helps with assisting in setting goals and ensures ongoing monitoring.
- Approves timecards, monitors annual bridge trainings, reviews vacation and sick leave requests.
- Performs other duties as required.
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in higher education or related field or relevant supervisory experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
- Develop effective working relationships with supervisors, co-workers, and students.
- Work independently and manage work assignments.
- Deal effectively with stress caused by workload and time deadlines.
- Perform with attention to detail and follow through.
- Proficiency with computers and various software systems is required.
