Davis Tool has an immediate opening for a Manager to supervise the anodizing and chemical plating department of our business. Managers are responsible for the area’s People, Business, Safety, Quality, and Productivity.
Monday – Friday workweek:
Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
The responsibilities for this position include:
Setting daily production plans
Ensuring area KPI's (Key Performance Indicators) are met
Training and skills development for their organization
Meet with employees on a regular basis to track progress for both short and long term goals
Give performance feedback and reviews annually to their direct reports
Communicate and report status on current projects and other items affecting the department and the company.
Ensuring employees are working safely and following safety standards
Ensuring product quality meets customer requirements
Working with scheduling to meet customer commitments
We are looking for candidates with the following attributes:
A bachelors degree in a technical discipline along with a minor or associates degree in business, or equivalent business management work experience
Supervisory or Management experience in a manufacturing environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of APICS
Experienced with Lean
