Job Summary :
Drivers are responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods from the Davis warehouse to their appropriate destinations. Class C Drivers transport materials using a box truck and may have to occasionally unload using a liftgate and / or pallet jack. This position serves as the public face of the company and strives to provide customers with world-class service in a professional manner. Drivers are committed to following all safety procedures and regulations to ensure the security of cargo.
Duties / Responsibilities :
- Perform pickups and deliveries as assigned
- Comply with all road laws and safety regulations
- Follow specific handling instructions
- Plan or adjust route according to changing conditions
- Inspect vehicle regularly to ensure proper functioning of all equipment
- Notify dispatch team of any discrepancies, issues, or delays
- Keep track of all assigned jobs through the Crown app
- Obtain proofs of pickup or delivery and upload them to Crown app
- Turn in all hard copy PODs to dispatch team by end of day
- Handle freight by hand when necessary
Schedule : Monday to Friday, 9 : 00am - 7 : 00pm, Full Time - No OTR
Pay Starting At : $20-$26 / hour, depending on experience (OT after 40 hours)
