The Davis Vandenbossche Insurance Agency in New Baltimore is looking for a full time Personal Lines Account manager. As an account manager you will be responsible for providing outstanding customer service to our current clients, retaining and cross selling business along with building relationships with new prospects.
Insurance industry or agency experience and knowledge is required. Candidate should have strong core values with focus on providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities & Job Functions:
- Responsible for day to day efficient account management with focus on service, sales & documentation
- Build strong relationships with clients and company representatives
- Quote new and renewal business
- Quote and process policies, change requests and endorsements timely & accurately
- Maintain accurate client information in agency management system
- Communicate with clients, underwriters & company adjusters working towards resolutions for policy issuance and claims settlements
- Provide support to sales staff with quotes, proposals and applications
- Responsible for uploading of new business applications, endorsements, claims & policy payments
- Communicate with clients providing answers to coverage, claims and billing questions
- Perform general insurance tasks and any other office duties that may arise
Qualifications/Requirements:
- 2 years experience in insurance agency/industry
- P & C license preferred – life license a plus
- Experience in multi-line quoting software & agency management software
- Outstanding Customer Service skills, self-motivated and ability to work independently and in team environment
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment while professionally maintaining a high level of customer service
- Ability to read and understand differences in policy coverages & communicate these items clearly to clients helping them make an informed decision
- Time management skills including ability to multitask
- Ability to understand and follow through on customer, underwriter & adjuster requests
- Experience with office technology including but not limited to carrier websites, rating software, Applied Agency Management & various other equipment
- Ability to attend educational seminars as required
- Genuine willingness to work in positive proactive environment
