Davis Wright Tremaine LLP is looking for a Temporary Business Development Manager to join our team in our Seattle, Portland, Los Angeles, Washington D.C., San Francisco, New York, Anchorage, or Chicago offices.
This is a temporary position lasting six to nine months, with potential to convert to a full-time opportunity for the right candidate.
This position offers the flexibility to be fully remote while working within reasonable commuting distance from any of our office locations.
This position will work closely with the Business Development Directors on a variety of business development initiatives across many of the firm's practices and industries. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, developing business development strategies, supporting practice groups with pitches, proposals, events, research, and internal meetings. This position requires a proactive individual with strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, a passion for client service, and the flexibility to respond to changing priorities and business needs. The position requires working collaboratively with Marketing and Practice Management team members. A qualified candidate will interact with all levels of the firm.

On a typical day you will :
- Develop a deep understanding of the Firm's practice areas, including services, expertise, clients and competitors. Serve as a firm-wide 'connector' who helps attorneys network with each other.
- Provide support for specific new business pursuits - including pitches, RFP responses, and capabilities presentations.
- Collaborate with key individuals to develop, execute, and track various business development projects including identifying opportunities and making recommendations to expand existing client work, and enhancing cross-selling opportunities within the Firm's practice and industry groups.
- Conduct research related to clients, prospects, industry segments and competitors.
- Conduct research and support Firm thought leadership opportunities, including conferences and sponsorships.
- Collaborate with members of the Marketing Department to develop new marketing collateral and update content on Firm's website.
- Collaborate with members of the Events team on DWT events.
- Support other administrative functions as appropriate at the practice levels with direct and regular interface with other business services support teams.
- Support the Business Development team in ad hoc tasks, as needed.

The hourly range for this position in Washington is $69.74 to $78.97 hourly. Actual pay will be adjusted based on the candidate's education, training, experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. Paid sick leave is accrued on a biweekly basis at a rate of 1 hour per 30 hours worked. Temporary employees working at least 30 hours per week may be eligible for health insurance with an optional HSA, dental insurance, vision care, telemedicine and virtual short term solution based counseling services, Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, sick time, and an employee assistance program.

The hourly range for this position in Los Angeles is $73.85 to $84.62 hourly; and in San Francisco is $85.64 to $94.36 hourly. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. Paid sick leave is accrued on a biweekly basis at a rate of 1 hour per 30 hours worked. The hourly range for this position in New York City is $92.86 to $101.10 hourly. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
