What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Designer position at DAVIS?
DAVIS is looking for a Senior Architectural Designer who has a portfolio of built work showcasing exceptional design skills. This individual is a team player who thrives in a collaborative environment. Interior design experience is a plus.
Primary RESPONSIBILITIES
- Initiation and development of project designs and plans, within budget, for all phases of projects
- Management of clients, consultants and integrated design team
- Preparation and presentation of design drawings
- Maintain an on-going understanding of current trends in core and shell architecture and interior design
- Creation of building solutions utilizing multiple design vernaculars
Required QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 7 years of professional experience demonstrating exceptional design skills complemented by a portfolio of innovative design solutions
- Professional Architecture degree from an accredited program (B. Arch or M. Arch) preferred
- Knowledge and understanding of current construction costs
- Knowledge and understanding of urban design, site design, entitlement procedures and current building codes
- Knowledge of building materials, detailing, construction techniques and related engineering principles
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate design concepts
- Fluent in AutoCAD, Revit, Sketchup and Adobe CS
- Architectural Registration preferred
