What are the responsibilities and job description for the POSITIVE BEHAVIOR SUPPORT (PBS) INTERVENTIONIST position at Davison Community Schools?
- Complete at least two years of study at an institution of higher education (equal to 60 college credit hours); or obtain an associate's degree (or higher); or a passing score of 460 on the ETS Paraprofessional Assessment; or have College Board's SAT score of at least 480 on evidence-based reading and writing and a 530 on math.
- Experience working with adolescent at-risk students.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must be flexible.
- Strong work ethic.
- Must be of good moral character.
- Previous successful experiences with high school-aged children through community, school or other related activities.
- Must be capable of establishing a good working relationship with students, parents and teachers.
- Must be patient, able and willing to work with high school students.
- Good judgment and decision-making.
- Exhibit emotional stability and physical stamina necessary for fulfilling duties of position.
- Facilitate the combined High School/Alternative Education High School Positive Behavior Support Room.
- Work with identified students to improve behavior, attendance and academic performance.
- Aid students with homework and daily assignments in a variety of subject areas.
- Contact parents as required.
- Function as an instructional team member in the supervision of students in accordance with district administrative operating procedures.
- Maintain regular, reliable and punctual attendance.
- Other duties as assigned.
