Located along the scenic coast of Southern California, this organization is seeking a Director of Architecture and Compliance to oversee its architectural review and compliance processes. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Director of Architecture and Compliance position include :
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture; a California Architect license is preferred.
- Must have at least 8 years of experience in architecture, construction compliance, or a related field.
- Strong background in high-end residential projects; commercial experience also considered.
- Extensive administrative responsibilities, including reviewing architectural submissions, conducting compliance inspections, and coordinating with a consultant architect.
- Ability to effectively manage conflict and communicate with residents, balancing enforcement of community regulations with a customer-friendly approach.
- Oversee community renovations, including stair and railing overhauls, and assist in the development of a community master plan.
- Experience with design software, including Bluebeam and AutoCAD.
- Lead and support a small team, including a construction inspector and administrative assistant.
Salary : $115,000 - $145,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
